POSITION SUMMARY:  Provides front office administrative support for Theatre and Dance to include phones, assisting visitors, and resolving and/or referring a range of administrative problems and inquiries. Will operate a personal computer to compose and edit correspondence, memoranda, agendas, minutes, and other miscellaneous word processing and excel spreadsheets. Schedules and coordinates meetings, events, interviews, appointments, and/or other similar activities for supervisors, which may include coordinating travel and lodging arrangements. Assists the department chair and department administrator with administrative functions, relating to student management, course materials, room scheduling, equipment checkout, payroll, work orders, and other miscellaneous departmental issues. Arranges work orders for building maintenance, telecommunications, and other interdepartmentmental purposes. Works with the Public Events Department on Production Ticket set up and assists with theatre rental documentation and scheduling. Will learn Banner in order to assist with fiscal duties as needed.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  
Experience:
With computers, including MS Word and Excel
In a front office setting, including phones, calenders, and greeting the public
Preparing reports, agendas, minutes, and correspondence
 
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:  This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the USUNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.

If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
