POSITION SUMMARY:  The Department of Information Technology, Platforms Area, is looking for a self-starter, to provide a wide range of administrative support tasks for the department's Platform Manager. This person in this position will provide clerical, word processing, scheduling, and staff support to the Associate Director of IT Platforms. The person will establish and update files and records and support the production of documentation. In addition, the selected candidate will perform routine bookkeeping functions and will be responsible for travel arrangements, reimbursement processes, and inputting time for the department's employees. The selected candidate will also assist with contract and grant administration, assist with the budgeting process and record and distribute meeting minutes. The selected candidate will also manage the supply inventory for the Platforms section.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  familiarity with UNM Human Resources administrative processes
familiarity with UNM purchasing processes
writing and editing skills
banner processes
working independently, setting priorities, scheduling meetings and making travel arrangements, coordinating and monitoring reporting needs
Experience
working in a technical environment
with Microsoft applications ( word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint )
 
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:  This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the USUNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.

If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
