Assistant Professor – Asian History

Tenure track assistant professor position beginning August 2009.  The person hired is expected to have a research specialization in Asian history, with the ability to teach upper division courses on Modern East Asia and graduate seminars in specialty.  Responsibilities include teaching sections of lower-division Survey of Eastern Civilization.  Ph.D. required at time of employment.  Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and publications.  Submit vita, transcripts, and three letters of recommendation to Asian History Search Committee Chair, History Department, Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK 74078-3054.  To receive full consideration, applications should be received by November 30, 2008.  Oklahoma State University is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity/E-Verify employer committed to diversity.
