Wayne State University College of Nursing in Detroit, Michigan invites applications for the position of Associate Dean for Research and Director of the Center for Health Research. Qualified candidates must hold an earned doctorate in nursing or a related field; have an established publication record and program of research, and a national reputation as a scholar and a distinguished teaching and service record at the university level.
The Associate Dean for Research is responsible for research development, administration and external relations thereby creating an environment in which excellence in research enhances the mission of the school, campus and university. The Associate Dean for Research will mentor faculty and doctoral students in productive scholarship, and facilitate the research agenda of the school focusing on knowledge and generating practice relevant research. This is a 50% administrative position with the expectation that the Associate Dean will support his/her research program through internal/external sources. Commuting is an option.
