Southern California Higher Education Recruitment Consortium Founded in August 2003, the Southern California HERC is a collaborative response to the many challenges universities face in the recruitment and retention of faculty and staff. One particular focus of HERC is to find effective ways to assist the spouses and partners of faculty and staff in securing area employment.

The Southern California HERC has members from the University of California, California State University, private colleges and universities, and community colleges. SoCal HERC also develops and promotes a collaborative Web site for faculty and staff positions at member campuses in Southern California.

New Jersey Higher Education Recruitment Consortium

New Jersey Higher Education Recruitment Consortium The New Jersey HERC is an association of 28 colleges and universities who have joined together to promote awareness of employment opportunities in higher education in NJ. NJ-HERC provides a common website on which all jobs at the participating institutions are posted. The website is searchable by keywords and applicants can register to receive emails when a posting that meets their profile appears on the site. The New Jersey HERC has members from state and private colleges and universities and community colleges.

The Greater Chicago Higher Education Recruitment Consortium

The Greater Chicago Higher Education Recruitment Consortium Developed in 2006, the Greater Chicago HERC is a collaborative response of member institutions to the many challenges of academic recruitment and retention. Of particular interest to the Greater Chicago HERC is finding effective ways to assist the spouses and partners of faculty and staff to secure area employment and ways to address issues of faculty and staff diversity.

The Greater Chicago HERC is composed of a diverse group of colleges and universities as well as research, medical, and cultural institutions. Member representatives include faculty, staff, human resources professionals, institutional leaders, and faculty relations experts.
