POSITION SUMMARY: Continuing Education is one of the top-ranked non-credit continuing education programs in the nation. We offer a variety of courses and programs in computers, business and personal enrichment. For all ages, there is an ever-changing slate of Personal Enrichment and Story of New Mexico programs in the arts, health languages, financial management and educational trips and tours.
To help us manage our many courses, we are seeking an Enrollment Representative to handle the day-to-day student admissions, records and registration. Duties include: maintaining of student records; the monitoring and recording of required data into integrated student database; the managing, expediting, and maintaining of files, records, and other documents to ensure accurate and complete files throughout the admission and/or registration process; providing routine advice, guidance and assistance to departments, staff, and to prospective and current students regarding admissions, transfers, records and registration policies and procedures; resolving routine process problems as they arise to ensure client satisfaction; receiving and recording cash, checks, charges and third party payments; and reconciling cash receipts against register printout on a daily basis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED with 3 to 5 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in:
Providing customer service
Working with computers and software applications
Performing complex tasks and prioritizing multiple projects
Using computerized student information systems
Database and records management and maintenance
Working effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Knowledge of:
Cash management and basic accounting principles/procedures
Policies and procedures pertaining to FERPA
Bi-lingual - Spanish/English
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
