POSITION SUMMARY: The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
Under general supervision, individual will coordinate telehealth activities which includes the logistics for the distance delivery technologies, facilitates and enhances day-to-day operations and relations with sites coordinators, telehealth consumers and telehealth consultants. The coordination piece is extremely complicated--and includes coordination of multiple individuals (at sites and CDD) and equipment.
Oversees and performs a range of diverse administrative activities for the program, serves as a central point of liaison with other departments/programs and external constituencies in the resolution of a variety of day-to-day matters concerning the program. Conducts registration and application process. Procures and maintains inventories of supplies and equipment. Maintains files, records and inventories.
Provides administrative support in the development, implementation and marketing of the program function. This position would work with personnel at potential telehealth sites to market, develop and implement videoconferencing set ups that could receive telehealth services. The plan is to expand the program to serve as many communities as possible statewide. In addition, this program is working to obtain additional funding to support the initiative. And the coordinator would be involved with budgeting and proposal preparation. This position requires excellent communication skills.
Serves as principal liaison between the faculty, staff, consultants, and external community professionals in the implementation of video-teleconferencing activities.
Oversees data collection and data entry. Collects data and prepares quarterly reports based on the data. CDD receives funding from DOH and is required to provide periodic reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated experience:
in scheduling and coordinating events that are complex involving a number of parties and many details
in database management and the ability to generate reports from the data
in formatting, editing and proofing large documents and/or reports
Advanced level computer/software skills including MS Access
Ability to work collaboratively with a team of diverse individuals
Bachelor's degree
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the USUNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
