Applications are currently being accepted for Research & Planning Analyst for the Basic Skills Student Outcomes and Transformation Grant (also known as BSSOT) and the Title III STEM Grant, located at San Diego Mesa College. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs.

Please note that an employee may be transferred to any site at the option of the Chancellor.

Desired Qualifications:
Experience with advanced research techniques and methodologies, including both quantitative and qualitative research methods. Knowledge of issues and current trends in higher education, particularly as they apply to California Community Colleges. Knowledge of salient issues and current methodologies in post-secondary educational research, such as enrollment, retention, success, basic skills redesign, throughput, disproportionate impact and transfer. Correct English usage and strong report writing and presentation skills. Advanced degree and experience in post-secondary institutions preferred. Training and Experience Any combination of training and experience equivalent to: a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis on research or management and four years of professional level experience coordinating the research, study and analysis of management, budget, administrative, organizational, functional or procedural problems; graduation from an accredited college or university with an emphasis on research or management and displayed experience using SPSS and/or SAS.

Pay Information:
Range 13 ($5,822.39 $9,720.72) per month based on the current Supervisory and Professional Employees Association Salary Schedule A

Initial salary placement is commensurate with related experience and promotional rules. The District offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package including employer paid: medical, dental, and vision plans; sick and vacation leave; and opportunities for professional development. Initial Salary Placement, Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the SPAA Supervisory & Professional Administrators Association Handbook. This position is FLSA exempt and may not accrue overtime. A temporary probationary period will be applied to the employee entering this assignment.
