Position Overview:
Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time Support and Technical Personnel position of Continuing Education Technician at the WITC Superior Campus. The Continuing Education (CE) Technician is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the assigned CE department. This position provides accurate and detailed information to internal and external customers regarding CE offerings. The CE technician provides assistance to CE instructors, students, and staff.

Qualifications:
Two years related post-secondary education plus two years related work experience OR a combination of related work experience and education totaling four years. Associate degree preferred.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated organizational skills, dependability, and ability to work independently.
Knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer applications and software.
Ability to learn and apply complex policies and procedures.
Proficiency in PeopleSoft and ImageNow, preferred.

Physical Demands:
Light: Exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work.

Job Description:
  • Provide detailed technical information on continuing education (CE) offerings and problem-solve issues with students and instructors.
  • Communicate with instructors.
  • Create instructor packets, handle instructor evaluations, and enter instructor e-time as needed.
  • Ensure all relevant instructional materials are available and disseminated prior to the start of classes.
  • Provide e-timesheet assistance as needed.
  • Monitor registration and headcount. Monitor progress toward course enrollment goals and assist with appropriate action (run, postpone, cancel, add sections) working with appropriate CE staff. Assist with facility accommodations.
  • Problem-solve scheduling (i.e., room scheduling) issues.
  • Provide administrative support to assigned CE managers.
  • Complete state reports as required for specialized courses.
  • Participate in appropriate campus/college-wide meetings and events.
