Instructor of Biology
Two-Year Visiting, Non-Tenure Track position


The School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at Ferrum College is currently seeking to appoint a Two-Year, Non-Tenure Track, Visiting Instructor of Biology. The successful candidate will be expected to have a Ph.D., or equivalent terminal degree, in Biology or a related field. Expertise and/or experience in either Agricultural Science or Environmental Science would be beneficial. A demonstrated record of successful college-level teaching is highly desirable.

Responsibilities: TEACHING: The primary teaching responsibilities of this dynamic faculty member will be in the Introductory Biology course sequence. Opportunities to teach other courses in the Biology curriculum, introductory courses in related programs or non-majors courses are also available depending on the successful candidate's qualifications and interests. SCHOLARSHIP: Candidates should provide evidence of active scholarship. In particular, experience involving undergraduate students in research is desirable. SERVICE: Visiting faculty are expected to contribute to the administration of their program and college.
